About Us

The Egyptian Society of Diabetic Foot (ESDF) is a Non Governmental Organization. ESDF aims to enhance foot care for diabetic patients in Egypt and the Arab World through spreading knowledge and enhancing active collaboration between all specialties interested in saving limbs and lives of diabetic patients.

 

The Egyptian Diabetic Foot Conference

The Egyptian Society of Diabetic Foot aims to increase awareness of the burden of diabetic foot allover Egypt. Since 7 years, we started to move our conference outside Cairo to reach interested doctors and healthcare providers allover Egypt. We are honored that the 16th annual conference of ESDF will be held on Golden Jewel Hotel, Alexandria, from 10 to 11 October 2024. The scientific program will be soon available. Education and disease awareness

To educate diabetic patients about diabetic foot disease, its stages, risks, and prevention through a continuous Arabic-language magazine covering essential awareness and prevention information.

Organizing educational seminars

To hold awareness seminars for diabetic patients to increase understanding of the scale of the problem and how to deal with it properly in order to reduce complications.

Establishing the association’s website

To create a website that allows visitors to benefit from the association’s activities, communicate with it, and access updated information about diabetes and diabetic foot.

Supporting doctors and improving medical care

To help doctors provide the best possible medical care for diabetic foot through lectures and educational videos, some of which are published on the association’s website.

Organizing medical conferences

To organize national medical conferences that present the latest trends in treatment and everything new and beneficial in this field.

Providing medical devices for underprivileged patients

To provide medical devices that assist in healing diabetic foot ulcers and distribute them free of charge to patients who cannot afford them.

Funding scientific research

To support research projects aimed at finding new solutions that suit local community needs and improve diabetic foot care.

Establishing a specialized medical center
